Dr. Christine Ambrosone, is Professor of Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY.  She obtained her PhD from Roswell Park in Cancer Epidemiology in 1995, and served in the Division of Molecular Epidemiology at the National Center for Toxicological Research in Jefferson, AR for several years.  After leading the epidemiology program in the Derald H. Ruttenberg Cancer Center at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, she returned to Roswell Park in 2002 to Chair the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control. Dr. Ambrosone is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board to the Director of the National Cancer Institute and a member of the congressionally-mandated Interagency Breast Cancer and the Environmental Research Coordinating Committee (IBCERC), Public Health Service, NIH. She was co-founder and later Chair of the Molecular Epidemiology Group of the AACR and serves on Advisory Boards for a number of Cancer Center Programs. She was formerly a member of NCIs EPIC Study Section and the ACS's study section on Carcinogenesis, Nutrition and the Environment, and has served on several NIH special emphasis panels and SPORE reviews. She is former Senior Editor for Cancer Research and has more than 250 peer-reviewed publications, most related to molecular epidemiology of cancer risk and prognosis.
